Student Committees

Inter Departmental Relations Committee - Formed as a unifying platform for the Inter Departmental Relations Committee is the student arm of the SCAS that supports and coordinates all inter departmental activities of SCAS. IDRC continuously redefine our meaning of success by coming up with innovative ways to constantly engage students which in turn helps them to add to their knowledge about the subject area and takes up different activities such as the Buddy management simulation Programs, seminars, speak-out cards competition, invited talks and other business related games.

Placement Committee

At SCAS, Placements is a student run activity that is actively guided and supported by the HRDC. The student co-ordinators are responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with corporations for both recruitment and non-recruitment related activities. These include actively engaging companies on a regular basis, handling operations during the Placement drive and acting as a conduit for Organizations and Industry Leaders to interact with students through Business Talks and Live Corporate meetings.

The responsibilities are as follows

  • Undertaking forms distribution of all the students and their parents.
  • Displayed Anti-ragging awareness details on the college notice board.
  • Tamilnadu Anti–ragging Prohibition act was displayed in the Notice board.
  • Going around the college to make the campus free from Ragging.
  • Uploading measures taken against ragging in the college website.
  • Instructions given to all the students.

Anti-ragging Affidavit - Students are required to submit an affidavit at the time of admission to the college to the effect that he/she is aware of the law regarding prohibition of ragging as well as the punishments, and that he/she, if found guilty of the offence of ragging and/or abetting ragging, is liable to be punished appropriately. Parents/ guardians are also required to submit an affidavit to the effect that he/she is also aware of the law in this regard and agrees to abide by the punishment meted out to his/her ward in case the latter is found guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging.

Anti-Ragging Squad - The squad makes surprise visits at hostels and spots vulnerable to incidences of ragging on the campus.

Grievance Redressal Committee

The Institute follows an open door policy. Institute has a Grievance Redressal Committee which conducts opinion survey among students, faculty and staff. The grievances are attended to promptly. The Institute has placed gripe boxes at prominent places for students, faculty and staff to bring to notice their grievances. Besides this, Student Committee Meetings (SCM) are held with the Students Representatives once in a Semester to address the issues pertaining to academic and non-academic affairs.

Internal Complaint Committee

The institution is committed to provide safe academic and working environment to all girl students and its women employees. As per the guidelines of University Grants Commission, AICTE and the Supreme Court an Internal Complaint Cell / Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell have been constituted by the College.
